The MC2100 is a new mobile computing industrial terminal category, positioned in the Value Tier of MCD.
It incorporates many of the same features, such as the same scan engines, processor platform, and attention to durable design as our industrial solutions but is packaged in a compact, slim configuration streamlined to meet the basic needs of inventory management solutions. Features are limited to a core set to align with Value Tier market expectations.
MC2100 is positioned nicely below the MC3100 Series while addressing several desirable features that our MC1000 line lacks. As such, it diversifies our Value Tier offering and complements our mid to premium tier portfolios. It is built on the MPA 2.0 platform and utilizes the same processor as the MC3100. It is also the first MCD product that optimizes the use of TEAM express with dedicated side buttons for Group and private PTT access.
The MC2100 does not replace any of the existing MCD products.
