AP 6532 Access Point
Β.Ι. ALBANIS SA is pleased to announce the release of the AP6532 Adaptive Access Point providing a scalable, high throughput 802.11n, centralized solution based on its market leading AP650 design. The AP6532 works in conjunction with award winning RFS series Wireless Controllers and WiNG 5.1 controller Software to provide high fault tolerance and reliability at remote sites while keeping the simplicity of a single point of management. Take the hassle and cost out of 802.11n networking for the Enterprise with the feature rich, economical and easy-to-deploy dual-radio AP 6532. The AP6532 features powerful 24 dBm radio. Not only does the multipurpose AP6532 provide fully functioning 802.11n performance, but it does this while operating on inexpensive standard POE (3af). The AP6532 has been architected to support AirDefense security or remote helpdesk services. Network users obtain fast, secure, and reliable wireless access, while IT gains hassle-free wireless networking that includes a quick and easy means to remotely identity and fix extraneous problems when and where they happe As an adaptive access point, should the AP6532 lose connection to its controller, it can continue to operate using it’s last known configuration until connectivity back to the controller is restored, offering unparalleled redundancy and site survivability when controllers are centrally located. WiNG releases will continue to add and grow the AP6532’s capabilities, with full onboard GUI and configuration for small-site installations that aren’t using a controller (Standalone functionality is expected with sw release 5.2 available later this year). The AP6532 runs WiNG 5.x natively onboard and supports the full complement of WiNG 5.x feature The AP6532 is available in two main varieties: integrated antennas in an attractive plastic enclosure, and a plenum rated metal enclosure that features external antenna connections.
