In the year 2009 the circulation of false euro banknotes increased for 30%! The number of false banknotes has rapidly risen in the EU in 2009 to 860,000. In previous year there have been about 50 million euro false banknotes in circulation! The “small notes” are on the advance! Gangs of false money bring more and more 20- and 50-euro banknotes into circulation because large banknotes are not accepted everywhere. Still very popular is the 100-euro banknote! False money can be offered everywhere. The distribution of false money is well organised and widely spread. Victims are found by swindlers in places where banknotes are given less attention during busy times. There is no replacement given for false money! If you accept false money and become aware of it too late you suffer twice for the damage: you receive no replacement and make yourself even criminal if you pass on the false banknote!
